Reviews

Our students love the freedom, flexibility and support we offer. See what they're saying about Sophia's courses.

by Sara B. on September 4, 2026
I really enjoyed this course. Do not be afraid to take it! There are 2 instructors and Sophia's written tutorials that help break down math concepts. I took college mathematics first, which made me feel super well prepared for this course. There are so, so many crossover concepts too. If I had to do it again, I would probably take both courses at the same time since many concepts would be fresher in my mind. Overall, I am so happy that this option exists. It makes me feel like I am good at math in the ways that matter. I appreciate how Sophia has their written tutorials on the side during units and final tests. I don't feel the need to memorize every single step and formula. I do think college algebra was a little harder than college mathematics. If you're looking for more of a challenge, take the college algebra course. If you are looking for something more practical and a bit easier, take college mathematics. I have been recommending these courses to everyone I know!
